GENERAL INFORMATION
WHO CAN PLAY?

All players must be 18 years of age or older.
WAIVERS:

All players, including subs, must complete an online waiver prior to playing in any league or event.
OFFICIATING:

All leagues are self-officiated.
GAMES COORDINATORS: A Games Coordinator (GC) will be present at each game. GCs are not refs; they help coordinate the night by keeping time, keeping score and reporting scores to the ESSC. In the event a GC is not in attendance, teams are expected to play and report scores to the ESSC the following day via phone or email.
HOW TO REGISTER:

All registrations can be submitted online. If you are unable to pay via credit card online, you can pay via cash or debit at the ESSC Office.
CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations must be submitted 2 business days prior to the registration deadline in order to receive a full refund. After this time, no player or team will be eligible for a full or partial refund or credit.
WEATHER POLICY:

Games for indoor sports are never cancelled as a result of poor weather or road conditions.
DEFAULTS:

All players should understand the default policy.
SCHEDULES:

Schedules are posted a minimum of 2 business days before the first game of the season.
GAME TIMES:

Weekday games may have start times ranging from 6:00PM to 10:30PM. Weekend games may start anywhere from 8:00AM to 10:30PM. Sunday games will not be scheduled on long weekends. Monday games will be scheduled on long weekends. Games will be scheduled during major sporting events.
PLAYER REQUIREMENTS:

5 players on the court, 2 of which must be female. The is no limit to team roster size.

EQUIPMENT:

The ESSC supplies game balls.
PLAYERS MEETING/ QUESTIONNAIRE: For Fall and Winter seasons, new teams and individuals must attend a Players Meeting. To learn more, click here. For Spring and Summer seasons, new teams and individuals must complete a questionnaire.
SCORES: GCs will report scores to the ESSC and standings will be updated within 72 hours of games each week.
FACILITIES: All games are played out of public and private facilities throughout Edmonton. Any player or team which causes the ESSC to receive a complaint from a facility will be subject to a $100 fine plus the cost of any damages. To learn more, click here.
SEASON LENGTH: 7 Weeks: For summer Sunday leagues, there will be 8 games played in 7 weeks throughout the season (including playoffs). For single game sports the double header will be scheduled at some point in the regular season.There may be instances where byes are scheduled due to facility availability or holidays, meaning that the season may be played over 7 - 9 weeks.
8 Weeks: There will be 8 weeks of games throughout the season (including playoffs). There may be instances where byes are scheduled due to facility availability or holidays, meaning that the season may be played over 8 - 10 weeks.
