ESSC FITNESS CLASS INFORMATION

General Description
|
| The
ESSC is proud to be offering an entirely new branch to the
Sport and Social Club – FITNESS CLASSES. New for the Spring
2009 season, we will be offering three types of fitness
classes: Boot Camp, X-Terraining
and Body Balance. Our goal is to provide well rounded alternatives
to playing sports that are both fun and challenging. All
classes will run in 6 week rotations with something available
all year long! So round up your friends, pick the class
most suited to you and get ready to get fit! |

Locations
|
| Indoor Sessions |
Will
be run out of various public and private gymnasiums throughout
the City of Edmonton. Some examples include, but are
not limited to: Commonwealth Stadium and Central Lions Recreational
Centre. |
Outdoor Sessions |
Will
be run out of various public parks throughout the City of
Edmonton. Some examples include, but are
not limited to: W. Hawrelak Park
and The Muttart Conservatory |
Any participant who causes the ESSC
to receive a facility complaint will be fined $100 and may

Schedules
|
| Schedules
will be posted to the website, and emailed to participants,
no later then 2 days prior to their first class. Classes
will not be scheduled on long weekend Sundays, but may be
scheduled on long weekend Mondays. |

Participant Forms
|
| All
participants are required to print and complete a Par-Q
and Health History form prior to participating in and Fitness
Class; one of each is required per participant, per YEAR.
These forms are to be submitted to the trainer at the beginning
of your first session. If you are participating in multiple
sessions, you are only required to submit one set of forms.

you answer yes to any of the questions on the Par-Q form,
you need written approval from your doctor in order to be
able to participate. |

Fitness Class

Description |
| Boot Camp – Indoor |
Indoor
Boot Camp will cater to a variety of individuals with various
fitness and skill levels. The trainer will provide one on
one guidance as well as group instruction and will be sure
to push each participant to their own personal best. The
program will be flexible for progression and regression
as per individual capabilities. ESSC Boot Camp is a great
starting point for beginners or an excellent addition to
a current fitness routine! All participants will receive
one t-shirt per season that they are registered for.

Boot Camp – Outdoor
|
Take
a breath of fresh air with the ESSC’s
Outdoor Boot Camp. Similar in format to the Indoor Boot
Camp, the outdoor version incorporates nature’s obstacles,
and the surrounding environment to enhance your workout
experience. Spending time exercising outdoors after a long
day at work will boost your mood and you metabolism! All
participants will receive one t-shirt per season that they
are registered for. |
| X-Terraining
– Outdoor |
X-Terraining is the ESSC’s spin
on the traditional running group. If you’re tired of countless
hours on the treadmill, or are just looking for something
different, this program is right for you! Join our qualified
running guides through a variety of trail and road runs,
including hills and stairs. This program will cater to beginner
and advanced runners. It can be geared toward preparing
for a race or just another facet in your fitness routine.
Either way, grab your friends and get ready to enjoy all
that the Edmonton’s River Valley has to offer! All participants
will receive one t-shirt per season that they are registered
for. |
| Body Balance – Indoor |
Body Balance, one of the ESSC’s
newest classes, will help you to improve your overall fitness.
Classes will fuse together muscular endurance, core conditioning,
aerobic training and stretching to help you achieve personal
wellness. Participants can choose to use low or high impact
movements for an exceptional full body workout, which is
suitable for all fitness levels. Our skilled fitness trainers
will guide the group through a well-rounded routine that
will leave you feeling refreshed and revitalized! All sessions
are taught indoors, in a group setting. All participants
will receive one t-shirt per season that they are registered
for. |
