ABOUT THE SPORT
Get active and have some fun this season by joining the ESSC’s fastest growing sport, Dodgeball. Despite popular belief, this is not a child’s game anymore! Get ready to dodge, dip, dive, duck and dodge, while meeting other ESSC members in one of our most social sports. The beauty is that anyone can play Dodgeball, and new players and teams pick up the skills and strategy quickly! There are various Dodgeball Tourneys throughout the year where you can sharpen your skills. It’s a 6 on 6 game, with a minimum of two females on the court at all times. We offer Really Recreational, Recreational and Intermediate divisions. All games have a Coordinator present but you are expected to call your own fouls and be responsible for your own play. We encourage you to play with a ‘fun-first’ attitude at our various medium sized school gyms throughout the city. After your game, meet-up with your teammates and other ESSC players while enjoying exclusive specials at one of our many Sponsor Bars around Edmonton.

  WHO CAN PLAY?
Adults aged 18 and older may join any of our Dodgeball Leagues. Our leagues offer divisions for a variety of levels ranging from beginners to skilled veterans. The levels offered this season include Really Recreational, Recreational, and Intermediate. For a description of each skill level, and breakdown of when we are offering each level please see below. We welcome full teams, small groups (5 or more players but not a full team), friends (2-4 players) and individual registrations. Small groups, friends and individual registrations are combined with other similiar registrants to form a team that remains together for the duration of the season. Click here for more info.

LEVEL DESCRIPTION
SUNDAY
Recreational If you've played Dodgeball before or want to join a league where wins and losses count, this is the league for you! Players in this league can throw a dodgeball somewhat accurately and feel confident in their dodging abilities. Teams that have natural athletes will do well in this division.
MONDAY
Really Rec
This is a FOR FUN only league! Ultra Competitive players must stay at home! This is a sport where you need to come with an open mind and a sense of humor. Players in this league are new to the sport and want to come out and throw the ball around for fun. Win's and losses do not count in this league. Standings are based on spirit points given to one another and from the GC. The winner of the division is decided on by vote. Teams vote on the funnest and most outgoing teams.
