This division will feature teams that may have some skilled players, but the majority of players will be inexperienced and the team as a whole is just in it for the fun. If several of the players want to play hard and are quite competitive in nature then the team should move up to a higher level. A female must be an integral part (quarterback or receiver) of at least 1 play in each series. Teams in this division must have a “fun first” approach to every game. In this division, sportsmanship ratings will have a more direct impact on each team's standings than in higher divisions. This division is for beginner teams that are new to the league and are unfamiliar with ESSC specific rules.
Note: Teams that register for Recreational but have had good success in this level will likely be moved up to a higher division before the season starts.
