REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The registration deadline for the Fall 2010 season is Thursday, September 16. Prior to this date, all registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. After September 16th, a list of remaining availability will be posted to the homepage of the website.
General Description
ESSC Flag Football is a non-contact, 'fun-first' league. Flag Football is perfect for the football enthusiast who wants to avoid injury while having a blast with their friends and getting a good workout! After the game, enjoy ESSC specials at one of our many Sponsor Bars around Edmonton. Player Testimonial: “I started playing Flag Football for the SSC in the Summer of 2006. Who Can Play?
The ESSC is an adult league only. All players must be 18 years of age or older before they participate in any ESSC league or event. We accept all levels of skill and experience by offering a wide range of divisions. We welcome full team, small group, individual and substitute registrations.

DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS
Division	Description
Recreational	This division is for teams and individuals who are either new or just looking for a friendly match. Teams or individuals should have basic knowledge of football and there will be some coordinated plays in this division. A female must be an integral player in at least 1 play of the 4 ‘downs’ or scrimmage.
Recreational Plus	This division is for teams or players that have flag football experience and are familiar with positions on the field and looking to run coordinated plays. A female must be an integral player in at least 1 play of the 4 ‘downs’ or scrimmage.
The above descriptions are created based on skill level and not on competitive behaviour. All SSC players are expected to play with a 'fun-first, winning second' attitude. The SSC may move your team up or down a division based on seasonal results

HOW DO I REGISTER?
All players should register and pay online using our secure registration process. Registering online helps ensure you get placed in the league of your choice, as registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do not have a credit card, you can come to the office during regular business hours to pay by either cash or debit.

IMPORTANT FLAG FOOTBALL INFORMATION
Facility Information
ESSC Flag Football is played on various fields throughout the City. Fields used may be public or private. Any team or player who causes the ESSC to receive a complaint from a facility will be fined $100 and may be removed from the league. For full details, click here.
Equipment
All players are required to bring a light and dark colored shirt to every game. Please see the Rules section for legal equipment before purchasing your own gear. The EC is responsible for bringing equipment to the field.

Format/Rosters
All leagues are co-ed. Teams rosters typically range in size from 10-13 players. Individual and small group registrants are combined to form full “Singles” teams that play together for the duration of the season. “Singles” teams will receive a roster via email 2 days before their first game. Games consist of two 40-minute halves plus a 5-minute warm-up and a 5-minute half-time.

Schedules
Schedules will be posted on the website, and emailed to participants, no later than 2 days prior to their first game. Games will not be scheduled on long weekend Sundays, but may be scheduled on long weekend Mondays.

Weekday Games	Games will begin between 6:00pm and 8:30pm depending on the time of season and whether or not double headers are required (ie: in the event of a rainout)
Weekend Games	Spring/Summer: Games will begin between 6:00pm and 8:30pm depending on the time of season and whether or not double headers are required. In the event of a rainout, games may begin in the early afternoon. Fall: Games will begin between 12:00pm and 3:00pm
Calling the Shots
All players are expected to be on time, call their own fouls and abide by ESSC rules and polices. There is one Event Coordinator per four teams (2 fields) on each game night, but he or she is only there to run the games, they are NOT responsible for making calls. The Event Coordinator will enter the scores for the fields they are playing at.
Additional Information
Players Meetings: The ESSC may or may not, depending on the season, host mandatory Players Meetings and/or require new Team Captains and individuals complete an online Player Questionnaire. This will be specified on the registration form.
Waiver: All players are expected to complete a waiver prior to playing in any ESSC league or event. One waiver per player, per season is sufficient. To complete the waiver, click here.
Permits: The Event Coordinator will bring all necessary permits to the field to verify booking times.

Cancellation Policy: In order to receive a full refund, cancellations must be submitted 2 business days prior to the registration deadline applicable to that season. After this time, no player or team will be eligible for a full or partial refund or credit.
Default Policy for Team Registrations: You agree to supply a $50 default fee each time your team does not meet minimum player requirements at game time. If the default fee is not paid before the following week's game, you will be given an automatic loss for that game and for all games thereafter until the fee is paid. If your team defaults a second time, your status in the league will be under review. The ESSC does not profit from default fees; any team defaulted against is automatically refunded the applicable default fee onto the credit card which was used to register the team.
